Services for Marshall Wayne McIntire, 75, Logansport, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

He died at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born Nov. 29, 1932, in Royal Center, he was the son of Leo Albert and Ethel Ellen Foust McIntire. He was married May 20, 1962, in Royal Center, to Clara Varnell Murphey, who preceded in death Dec. 5, 1998.

He retired in 1979 after 27 years as a brakeman and conductor for the Conrail Railroad. He also was a former security guard at the Logansport State Hospital.

He was a member of the Tipton Masonic Lodge 33, Eagles Lodge 323 and the Moose Lodge of Yuma, Ariz.

Surviving are daughters, Jana Marie McIntire and Pamela Jean McIntire, both of Logansport, and Marcia K. Hawkins, Fort Knox, Ky.; brothers, Richard “Red” McIntire and wife, Judy, Yuma, Ariz., and Phillip “Pancake” McIntire and wife, Maryann, Logansport; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

One son, Jeffery McIntire; one sister, Barbara McIntire; and two brothers, Leo Albert “Sonny” McIntire Jr. and Dale Leon McIntire, preceded in death.

Pastor Fred Drye will officiate. Burial will be in Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Alliance Church and to a favorite charity.
