Martha Lyon

Martha (Peg) A. Lyon, 86, of Logansport passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00 PM in her residence.

Born, June 17, 1927 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late William and Huldah (Miller) Dodrill.

Martha worked as a waitress at Harvey's and the Country Inn. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, dining out, and reading.

Surviving are four daughters, Carol (Frank) Robinson, Celina, TN; Betty (Ron) Rawls, Raleigh, NC; Penny (Rich) Ferren; and Margaret Terwilliger, both of Logansport; grandchildren, Mike Terwilliger; Tara (Jose) Montavlo; Jimmy (Donna) Stewart, all of Logansport; John Thompson, Wabash, IN; Charlene Thompson, Logansport; Samantha (Scott) Charter; Jonathan (Dana) Robinson, both of Kentucky;Frank Robinson Jr.; Christina Edwards, both of Logansport; Richard Rawls, Raleigh, NC; Lee Rawls, Pennsyvlania; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved dog Katie.

Also surviving are step grandchildren, David Maroney, Linda Kurts, Bobby (Muffy) Maroney, and Mary (Gary) Maroney.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William Dodrill, one sister, Dorothy Bodell, and her companion Robert Maroney.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, October 24, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Horace Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service on Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Humane Society.
