Martha Parrett

Martha Deane Parrett, 93, of Logansport, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at 12:10 AM at Miller's Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on October 6, 1920 in Bringhurst, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late George and Edith (Stone) Ayres.

On February 5, 1942 in Logansport she married Allen K. Parrett who survives.

Deane worked in the Logansport High School cafeteria for twenty years before retiring in 1981. She was a 1939 graduate of Flora High School and enjoyed wintering in Florida. She was a Chicago Cubs fan and an avid BINGO player and made many friends while doing so. She was a devoted wife and mother, an Allen will be lost without her in his life.

Surviving along with her husband is also a son, Michael (Patty) Parrett, Kokomo; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Allen Parrett, and one daughter, Marsha Ann Copeland.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
