Martha E. Snyder, 96 of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on January 1, 1921 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Emmett H. and Elizabeth (Coble) Porter. On October 27, 1938 in Veedersburg, Indiana she married Donald M. Snyder who preceded her in death on December 29, 2007.

Martha worked for many years at the Golden Rule as a seamstress . She was a longtime member of the River of Life Christian Church where she was a former Deaconess. Martha was also a lifetime member of the PTA. Martha was well known for her delicious pies and various other dishes. She was also a great dancer in her younger years.

Surviving are four children, a son, Donald E. Snyder and wife Ann, Culver, IN; three daughters, Carol K. Little and husband Morris, Logansport; Jill A. Snyder, Galveston; Jackie S. Graybeal and Husband Bill, Logansport; twelve grandchildren, Kathleen Tanguy; David Snyder and wife Heather; Raubyn Barich and husband Reed; Tom Little; Sarah Kitchel and husband Eric; Suzannah Leicht and husband Josh; Angela Kelly and husband Mike; Joe Babb and wife Lisa; Jeremy Babb and wife Sara; Chris Graybeal and wife Michelle; Tim Graybeal and fiancé Kelley Nonweiler; Katelyn Stanley and husband Shea; 28 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and another on the way.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Richard and Paul Porter; a sister, Mary Mehaffie ; one grandchild, Edward Morgan Little and one great grandson Easton Kitchel.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2017 in the Gundrum Funeral home with Rev. Paula Neibert officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.
