Services for Mary Louise Wood Hardy, 76, Logansport, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in All Saints Catholic Church.

She died at 8:50 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, in St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Dec. 10, 1931, in Lucerne, she was the daughter of James Robert Montgomery and Frances Agnes Larkin.

On Oct. 24, 1953, she married Robert E. Wood who preceded in death May 9, 1979. She was married Sept. 14, 1982, in Windham, N.Y., to Olin “Speed” Hardy, who survives.

She was a former co-owner and operator of Woods Sporting Goods Store in Monticello. She had also volunteered as a bookkeeper at Hendrickson Body Shop.

She was a 1949 graduate of Lucerne High School. She was a member of the Red Hat Club, VFW Post 3790 Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 60 Auxiliary and Moose Lodge 232 Ladies Auxiliary and former secretary and treasurer of the Logansport Modified Midgets Inc.

She was also the current concession manager of the U.S. 24 Speedway. Mary was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Surviving are husband Olin “Speed” Hardy, Logansport; daughters Patricia “Tish” McCloskey and fiancée Steve Thompson, Logansport, Cindy Hoagland and husband Walter, Delphi, and Cathy Disinger and husband Doug, Francesville, son James Robert Wood and wife Deborah K., Monticello; stepson Michael A. Hardy and wife Judy, Logansport; stepdaughter, Mindy Crimmins and husband Gilbert, Remington; sister Margaret Guckien, Delphi; nine grandchildren, Rachel Cain, Kristi Hayes, Emily Morphet, Justin McCloskey, Holly Hoagland, Heather Storey, Russ Disinger, Megan Wood and Jimmy Wood; 10 stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.

One stepson, Don Hardy, and one brother, James W. Montgomery, preceded in death.

Father Jeff Martin will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Gundrum Funeral Home, where there will be a scripture service at 5 p.m. Sunday.
