Mary Louise Hughes, 54, Indianapolis, died at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Dec. 8, 1955, in Tacoma, Wash., she was the daughter of Roderick A. Whannell and Bertha L. Fitch. She was married Sept. 12, 1991, in Mayport, Fla., to Robert David Hughes.
Mary was a homemaker and an avid artist. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden.
Surviving are her husband, Robert D. Hughes, Indianapolis; brother, Lloyd Whannell and wife, Clary, Seattle, Wash.; mother-in-law, Jan Alberico, Logansport; father-in-law, Tom Hughes and wife, Brenda, Lapaz; several nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Teresa Kline.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Gross officiating.
Friends may call one hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
