Services for Mary Jane Townsley Marshall, 85, Logansport, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 3:07 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, in the Emergency Room at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 8, 1922, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Robert W. and Grace Belle Leming Hudson. Her first marriage was on Sept. 28, 1940, in Logansport, to Kenneth Owen Townsley, who preceded in death Feb. 22, 1972. Her second marriage was on April 6, 1973, in Logansport, to Arthur Marshall, who preceded in death in 1985.

Mary Jane worked as executive secretary for the Mental Health Association, was a receptionist for Dr. Bernard Hall and worked at JCPenney, Bickel’s and Bailey’s.

She was a member of Walton Christian Church, a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a former member of Delta Chi Sigma Sorority.

Surviving are one daughter, Susie Rush and husband, Joe, Walton; two sons, Ken Townsley, Logansport, and Lester Townsley and wife, Carol, Louisville, Ky.; stepdaughter, Susan Yarbrough and husband, Pete, Frazier Park, Calif.; two stepsons, Bill Marshall and wife, Karen, Noblesville, and Tim Marshall, Indianapolis; five grandsons, Greg Rush, Roger Rush, Michael Townsley, Kevin Townsley and Mark Townsley; and five great-grandchildren, McKenna Rush, Alyssa Rush, Ethan Rush, Brenna Townsley and Savannah Townsley.

One sister, one brother, George R. Hudson, three stepsisters, and one stepbrother, preceded in death.

Pastor Ken Marsh will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
