Services for Mary Louise Nelson, 89, Walton, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 10:54 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 30, 1919, in Burrows, she was the daughter of James and Helen Neff West. She was married Feb. 23, 1940, in Kokomo, to Ralph A. Nelson, who survives.
Mary was a homemaker and attended Upper Deer Creek Church. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Also surviving are son, Dean Nelson and wife, Joyce, Walton; daughter, Jean Conner and husband, Eldon, Mexico; grandchildren, Becky Achor Collins and husband, Kenny, Logansport, Beth Wise and friend, Rick Collins, Galveston, Bev Middlekauff and husband, Tim, and Cassie Smith and husband, Terry, all of Peru; great-grandchildren, Leslie Achor, Jessica Achor, Jeremy Wise, Katelyn Wise, Terry Smith, Taylor Smith, Travis Smith, Conner Middlekauff and Corbin Middlekauff; and one great-great-grandchild, Abbi Vandelier.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Francis West.
The Revs. John Rhodes and Joe Coffin will officiate. Burial will be in Center EUB Cemetery, Young America.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
