Mary D. Queener, 66, of Burrows passed away  Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on March 11, 1949 in LaFollette, TN, she was the daughter of the late Hodge and Bertha (Beeler) Turner.  On June 5, 1967 in LaFollette, TN she married Kenneth H. Queener who survives.

Mary was retired, but she had worked for Quality Die in Flora, R.B.M. and Essex.  Mary enjoyed the outdoors, particularly gardening, fishing, hunting, playing corn hole, and croquet. She cherished the time she got to spend with all of her grandchildren.  If anyone knew Mary, they knew she loved to cook, and took great pride in preparing Sunday meals for her family.

Surviving along with her husband Kenneth, are three daughters, Susie (Jami) Wisniski, Mt. Pleasant, TX; Mary Frances Pearson, Logansport; and Denice Queener, Burrows; eight grandsons, Daniel Pearson; Derek Pearson; Nathan Denton; Nick Walkup; Riley Walkup; Dakota Wisniski; Brandon Wisniski; Aidan Queener; two great granddaughters, Kaylynn Pearson; and Savannah Pearson; two brothers, John (Charlene) Turner, Logansport; Hershel Turner, LaFollette, TN; sister, Margaret (Bob) Adcock, Burrows; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Roberta Queener; and two brothers, Landon and Larry Turner.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Kermit Goins officiating.  Burial will be in the Rockfield Cemetery, Rockfield, IN.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday, also in the funeral home.
