Services for Mary Lou Adair Smith, 82, Logansport, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in her residence.
Born Feb. 1, 1925 in Cass County, she was the daughter of Berton Wean and May Baker. She was married July 26, 1945, in Logansport, to Robert Morris Adair, who preceded in death Jan. 17, 1972. She was married May 28, 1977, in Logansport, to Richard E. Smith, who preceded in death Sept. 17, 1997.
Mary was a former waitress at various locations in Logansport and was also a full-time homemaker.
She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are four daughters, Cindy Archer, Fairfax, Va., Sharon Parmeter and husband, Wes, Cathy Gilsinger and husband, Tom, and Deb Waggoner and husband, Guy, all of Logansport; one son, Robin Adair and wife, Sherry, Logansport; two stepsons, John Smith and wife, Nancy, Walton, and Rich Smith and wife, Debbie, Denver, Colo.; one stepdaughter-in-law, Darla Smith, Woodstock, Ga.; grandchildren, Chrissy Overhulser and husband, Steve, Manassa, Va., Shonn Parmeter, Logansport, Julie Haschell and husband, Lonnie, Lewisville, Texas, Jeff Adair and wife, Danelle, Carmel, David Adair, Indianapolis, Cory Harmon and wife, Dawn, Royal Center, Chad Gilsinger and wife, Negar, Marysville, Ohio, Amber Kelly and husband, Bob, Sarah Bault, and Christopher, Jessica, Jeremy and Abby Waggoner, all of Logansport; stepgrandchildren, Ryan Smith and wife, Angie, Bloomington, Chad Smith and wife, Tavia, Logansport, Carey Smith, San Francisco, Calif., Mandy Smith, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Clayton and Chris Smith, Woodstock, Ga.; and 20 great-grandchildren.
One stepson, Terry Smith, one grandson, Scott Waggoner, one great-grandson, Cohen Gilsinger, and several brothers and sisters, preceded in death.
Pastor Fred Drye will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
