Mary Faye (Rumell) Spraker, 68, of Cutler, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, surrounded by her family, at her residence.
Born October 6, 1945 in Cannelton, Indiana to the late Charles Gilbert and Hattie Mae (Jackson) Spencer. On October 15, 1961 in Clymers, Indiana she married Carl Edward "Duke" Rumell who preceded in death on October 12, 1993, she then married Edward L. Spraker on December 22, 1999 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of the Burlington United Methodist Church, 40-40 Cass County Homemakers Extension Club, and former President of the Burlington UMW. Mary enjoyed flowers, gardening, and cats. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving along with her husband Edward are; two daughters, Denice L. Weis, Delphi; Carla (Brian) Morris, Royal Center; son, Brian C. (Darlene) Rumell, Camden; five granddaughters, Nancy (Michael) Seitz, Indianapolis; Olivia (Craig) Myers, Lafayette; Fallon Rumell, Camden; Cassidy and Carlie Morris, Royal Center; three grandsons, Dayton and Wyatt Rumell, Camden; Brent Morris, Royal Center; great granddaughter, Brayleigh Rumell, Camden; three brothers, Woody (Lilly) Spencer, Bluffton; Clay Spencer, Louisville, KY; Ray (Judy) Spencer, Rochester; sister, Bonnie Criss, Hawesville, KY; special niece, Carol Long, Logansport; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Leisa Weis, one brother Russell Spencer, and two sisters, Eva Mae Holley, and Louise Vandergrift.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, July 25, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Miller and Pastor Gilbert Clay Vandergrift officiating. Burial will be in Keeps Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Thursday, July 24, 2014 also in the funeral home.
