Mary M. Watts, age 91, Panama City, Florida, formerly of Logansport, passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, in Panama City Florida.
Born February 2, 1921, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Blanche Adair Pursch.
On August 19, 1939, in Logansport, she married Eugene E. Watts, who preceded her in death on July 10, 2001.
Mary was a homemaker. She and her husband Eugene had previously lived on Pleasant Hill, while in Logansport, and were snowbirds, maintaining a condominium in Naples, Florida for their winter time visits. After the passing of her husband in 2001 Mary moved to Panama City, Florida to be close to her son, Jim. Mary enjoyed her final years in Florida spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling around the world and some of her favorite places, Australia, New Zealand and especially Hawaii. Mary enjoyed gardening, canning and playing golf.
Survivors include one son, Jim (Joyce) Watts, Panama City, FL; Grandchildren, Doug and Paige; great grandchildren, Kyle, Ian, Sara and Olivia; several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by one son, Robert Eugene Watts, and six brothers, Ed, Jim, Fred (Snap), Al, Bill and George (Junior)Pursch.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in Mount Hope Cemetery. Father Clark Miller will be officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory.
