Mary Jane Powell

Mary Jane Powell, 95, of Logansport, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, at the McKinney Place in Logansport.

Born on April 28, 1927, in Carroll County, Indiana, Mary Jane is the daughter of the late Walter “Ike” and Margaret Jane (Farmer) Watson.  On January 5, 1947, in Logansport, she married Robert F. Powell who preceded in death on May 4, 2020.

Mary Jane retired after 14 years of working at T.M. Morris, she had also worked at R.B.M. (Switches) and Motorola in Arizona.  She enjoyed quilting, collecting clocks, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving her is two daughters, Marilyn (Kevin) Wines of Macy; Carol Ann Preuss of Waseca, MN;  sister, Carolyn Fultz of Logansport; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren; son in law Steve Purdue of Logansport; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers; 1 sister; a daughter, Hazel Perdue and a granddaughter, Heather Kahl; 2 sons in laws, Joe Kahl and Richard Preuss.

A Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory with Chaplain Larry Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service on Monday.
