Mary Jo Nicoll, 85, of Lucerne, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.
She was born September 18, 1930 in Metea, Indiana to the late Maurice and Ruby (Russell) Brandt. On August 5, 1951 in Lucerne, Indiana she married Donald R. Nicoll who preceded in death on July 23, 2013.
Mary Jo worked for the Cass County Public Library Bookmobile for 28 years. She was a 1948 graduate of Lucerne High School. Mary Jo was a music enthusiast, she enjoyed listening, playing and especially singing hymns. She was a member of Crosswind United Methodist Church, and a charter member of the Lamplighters Extension Homemakers.
Surviving are two daughters, Beth (Tim) Miller, Rochester; Tammie Nicoll, Fort Wayne; son, Steve (Karen) Nicoll, Lucerne; three grandchildren, Amy (Jeremy) Covanes, Houston, TX; Justin (Maryann) Miller, Rochester; Brett (Jacqueline) Miller, Indianapolis; seven great grandchildren; Isaac & Eli Nicoll; Kaylee & Charleigh Covanes; Jacob & Madison Miller; and Hudson Miller.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Aaren L. Nicoll, and one sister, Jean Dyer.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, December 4, 2015 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Smith officiating.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of service on Friday.
