Matthew Carr

Matthew F. Carr, 47, of Franklin, WI, formerly of Logansport and Michigan City, passed away Wed., April 24, 2013 in his residence.

Born Nov. 4, 1965 in Logansport to Richard E. and Kandy (Crawford) Carr, who survive.

Matt was a Business Administrator in the health industry. He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. He was a former U.S. Marine and a member of the American Legion.

Other survivors besides his parents include one son, Matthew R. (Kelly) Conklin, Albuquerque, NM; two grandchildren, Caleb and Hailey Conklin, Albuquerque, NM; brother, Brian (Trina) Carr, LaPorte; paternal grandmother, Janet Carr, Logansport; Aunt, Deanna Forker, Logansport; three nieces, Kayla Carr, Hawaii, Sydney Carr and Haley Fairchild, both of LaPorte; and several cousins.

Matt was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frederick and Martell Crawford, two uncles, Robert and Richard Crawford, two aunts, Jackie Stephenson and Betty Heater.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
