Max Landes

Max F. Landes, 99, of Logansport, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the McKinney Place in Logansport.

Born on February 28, 1923, in Flora, Indiana, Max is the son of the late Max G. and Susie (Flora) Landes.  On August 31, 1944, in Flora, Max married Winifred E. Pullen who preceded in death on September 29, 2022.

Max served in the United States Navy during WWII and was a member of the V.F.W Post in Delphi.

Max was a lifelong farmer. He was a past member of the First Brethren Church of Flora and a current member of the River of Life Christian Church.

Surviving Max, are his three children, Toni (Howard) Lhamon of Logansport; Judy (Gene) Humbarger of Delphi; Dan (Diane) Landes of Frankfort; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Max was preceded in death by a son, Tom Landes; and a sister, Beverly Furst.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Cary Green officiating. Burial will take place in the Maplelawn Cemetery in Flora. Full Military graveside rites will be performed by the Cass County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the River of Life Christian Church.
