Maynard Wood

Maynard L. Wood, 81, of Logansport passed away at 2:43 AM Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Chase Nursing Home in Logansport.

Born May 14, 1932 in Michigan, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Mildred (Davis) Wood. On June 6, 1954 in Monticello, he married Gladys P. Swartz who survives.
Maynard worked for ELCO for 35 years. He was a United States Army Veteran, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving along with his wife are two sons, Dan L. (Vicki) Wood, Lafayette; Loy F. (Linda) Wood, Charleston, SC; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Don and Cleo Wood, and 1 sister, Colleen Hudson.

A celebration of life will be held from Noon until 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2013 on Maynard's front porch located at 1801 Treen Street in Logansport.

Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
Cremation rites will take place at Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory.
