Melissa Kraay

Melissa E. Kraay, 47, of Royal Center, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born on November 16, 1966 in Logansport, she was the daughter of Thomas L. and Diana (Frederick) Nethercutt. On June 28, 1986 in the Pisgah Church she married Darrin Kraay who survives.
Melissa worked as an office administrator at Pro Maintenance Service, and a receptionist at Next Day Container in Lake Cicott. She was a 1985 graduate of Pioneer High School where she played volleyball and softball. She then graduated from Ivy Tech. Melissa enjoyed internet games, reading, playing cards, watching reality TV, puzzles, arts, crafts, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving along with her husband and parents, are two sons, Cody (Jenifer) Kraay, Logansport; Cory Kraay; daughter, Hannah Kraay, both of Royal Center; two grandsons, Brantley "Chuck" Hicks, Logansport; Evan Kraay, Royal Center; three brothers, Thomas (Kim) Nethercutt; Perry (Beth) Nethercutt, both of Logansport; Matt Nethercutt, Peru, IN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Rich Carmichael officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
