Melody Childers

Melody Ann Childers, 44, Peru, passed away at her father’s home on Monday April 7, 2014 at 1:30AM.

Born September 13, 1969, she was the daughter of Richard W. and Risa (Johnson) Nance.
On June 30, 2012 she married Anthony J. Childers in rural Logansport.

Melody was a homemaker. She enjoyed cross stitching and gatherings with family and friends.

Surviving along with her husband are two daughters, Brianna Bennett, Peru; Faith Bennett, Peru; father, Richard W. (Cheryl) Nance, Peru; mother, Risa Nance, Peru; two brothers, Richie Nance, Logansport; David (Tammy) Jackson, Idaho; two sisters, Katie McAninch, Logansport; Kayla Wallace, Logansport; Several nieces and nephews and one aunt.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Staff Sgt. Kenneth McAninch.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 2:00PM at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Litherland officiating. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
