Michael "Mo" Mordenti

Michael “Mo” J. Mordenti, 59 of Logansport passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.

Born on September 10, 1957 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Americo “Bud” and Lena (Passerini) Mordenti.  On August 23, 1980 in Logansport he married Diana L. Ralston who survives.

Mike was a 1975 graduate of Logansport High School. He then received his bachelor’s degree in professional engineering from Indiana University. Mike was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, spending time with his family and being outside.

Mike was the owner of Mordenti Building Services. He loved working in his community and cherished the friendships he built while doing so.

Surviving along with his wife Diana, is a daughter, Dannan G. (Chris) Griffith; grandson, Drake M. Griffith; sister, Carolyn “Susie” Dickerson, all of Logansport; brother, Robert (Sue) Mordenti, Delphi, IN; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Catherine Mordenti; and a brother in law, David Dickerson.

A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2017 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Community Foundation in order to establish the Michael J. Mordenti Scholarship to benefit building trade students pursuing further education.
