Mildred Hoff

Mildred Irene Hoff, age 94, of Mooresville, NC and formerly of Logansport, passed away Saturday Oct. 15, 2016 at 5:50 AM in Autumn Care of Cornelius, NC

Born Oct. 3, 1922 in Logansport to the late Ira and Ethel "Bolen" Stoughton. On April 29, 1939 in Logansport she married Abner G. Hoff who preceded in death November 18, 1987.

Mildred retired after twenty years of service working in the dietary department at the Logansport State Hospital. She later was a cook at the Neal Home and the Cass County Children's Home. Mildred was a member of the Miami Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, needlepoint and also loved to do crossword puzzles.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathryn E. (Jerry) Swank, Mooresville, N.C.; one son, Ronald (Charlotte) Hoff, Conrath, WI; seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

One son, Stanley Alan Hoff and one daughter, Karen Sue Hoff, preceded her in death.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Dr. Daisok Panmei officiating. A burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery near Logansport.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 AM until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Miami Baptist Church, Bible Fund.
