LOGANSPORT - Rev. Milford H. Smith Sr., 86, Logansport, died at 3:35 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in Millers Merry Manor, Logansport.

Milford was born March 12, 1926, in Jonesboro, Ind., to Russell E. and Hester (Tinder) Smith. He was married on Dec. 30, 1945, in Eaton, Ind., to Ruth May Todd, who preceded him in death on July 15, 2011.

Milford was a retired minister and had also worked at Co-Tronics. He was a member of the Cass County Sheriff's Association and was a World War II Army Veteran.

Survivors include three daughters: Hurlene Swartz (husband Grant), Elizabethtown, Ind., Rachel Hunt, Greenfield, Ind., and Sarah Carpenter, Traverse City, Mich.; two sons, Milford H. Smith Jr., Logansport, and Roger Smith, Logansport; two sisters, Vera Ward (husband Bob), Marion and Ruth Delph, Anderson, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded in death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Bishop Dr. Gregory Elkins officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport with full military graveside rites.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Sheriff Reserve program at 200 Court Park, Logansport, IN 46947.
