Mona Mcgrew

Mona L. McGrew, 83 of Logansport passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in her residence.

Born on August 2, 1934 in Joplin, Missouri, she was the daughter to the late Daniel Adair Willis and Eva Ruth (Foss) Willis.  On November 10, 1951 in Logansport, she married her husband of 67 years, John McGrew who survives.

Mona retired from Milbank Manufacturing. She enjoyed cooking and always had her family looking forward to her homemade egg noodles. Mona also liked sewing, playing BINGO, reading and an occasional trip to the casino. Most important to her was the time she spent surrounded by her friends and family.

Surviving along with her husband John McGrew, are three sons, Jack (Teresa) McGrew, Windfall, IN; Thomas (Judy) McGrew, Old Town, FL; Jeff (Toni) McGrew, Logansport; two daughters, Vickie McGrew, Greentown, IN; Debra (Steve) Bell, Akron, IN; grandchildren, John IV (Emily) McGrew, Lacey (Ben) Maxson, Tiffany (Jason) Irwin, Chad Bell, Jennifer Bell, Thomas McGrew, Christina McGrew, Christopher Turner and Ashley McGrew; sixteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother, Paul Willis, Cassville, MO; sister, Leanna (Mike) Herbert, Camden, TN.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, and five sisters.

Mona’s funeral will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 1, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jackie Varnell officiating. Burial will follow in Metea Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 PM on Sunday, also in the funeral home.
