Nancy J. Handy, 75, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.
Born on March 10, 1942 in McCutchenville, OH, she was the daughter of the late Lowell A. and Blanche (Becker) Fisher. On August 19, 1961 in Wapakoneta, OH, she married Paul T. Handy who preceded in death on January 10, 2009.
Nancy retired in 2008 from Bakers Specialty after 36 years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Logansport and enjoyed working on handcraft projects.
Surviving is a daughter, Crystal Hippensteel, Huntington, IN; two sons, Craig Handy, Logansport; Brian Handy, Peru, IN; five grandchildren, Jacob Thomas Handy and wife Heather; Annie Nicole Prater and husband Josh; Jacob Nathaniel Handy; Alexandra Lynn Hippensteel; Logan Dayne Hippensteel; five great grandchildren, Anthony Handy; Jonah Handy; Emily Handy; Aiden Prater; Ella Prater; sister, Ruby (Palmer) Hinkle and husband Rodger, Logansport; brother, Eugene Fisher and wife Faye, Wapakoneta, OH; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Allen Handy; three sisters, Esther Handy; Eleanor Cornelius and Miriam Cromer.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Logansport, with Rev. Jerri Handy officiating.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, May 19 at the Gundrum Funeral Home; and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the Indiana Wesleyan University Scholarship Fund in Memory of Lowell and Blanche Fisher.
