Nancy L. Ander Rutschmann, 64, Logansport, died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Dec. 16, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of George Ander and Erma Rosengarten. She was married Jan. 30, 1971, in Dayton, Ohio, to Donald F. Rutschmann, Ed.D.
Nancy was a homemaker. She was a 1965 graduate of Meadowdale High School in Dayton, Ohio. She then graduated from the University of Illinois in 1971 with a bachelorâs degree in graphic design. Nancy enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She was also an artist, a bird enthusiast and avid reader. Nancy loved watching golf and the Tour de France. Her happiest moments were shared with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are husband, Donald F. Rutschmann, Ed.D., Logansport; daughters, Sarah J. Rutschmann and fiancé, Victor Pritt, Logansport, and Amy E. Shinneman and husband, Tim, Marion, Iowa; granddaughters, Lari A. Rutschmann, Logansport, and Emmalee R. Shinneman and Alaina L. Shinneman, both of Marion, Iowa; sisters, Karen S. Ander, Dayton, Ohio, and Stephany J. Ander, Lebanon; brother, George Ander and wife, Dorothy, Ohio; nephew, Brendan P. Monaghan and wife, Lisa, Arlington, Va.; niece, Erica Moncrief and husband, Scott, Dublin, Ohio; great-nephew, Liam Monaghan, Arlington, Va.; great-niece, Madison Monaghan, Arlington, Va.
Services will be private with Deacon Juan Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
