Nancy Short

Nancy L. Short, 73, Logansport, died at 7:11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, in WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born July 20, 1934, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Cecil H. and Alice C. Lyons Wise. She was married July 6, 1957, in Logansport, to Junior Short, who preceded in death Aug. 2, 2006.

Nancy retired in 1998 from Logansport Memorial Hospital, working in the food service department.

She enjoyed and was very good at cooking and baking. She also enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren whom she spoiled so well.

Surviving are daughter, Deb L. Deitrich, Logansport; son, Jim Short and wife, Amanda, Logansport; grandsons, Jason Deitrich and wife, Amy, Lafayette, Ryan Deitrich and wife, Jessica, and Paul Short, all of Logansport; great-grandson, Jacob Ryan Deitrich, Logansport; and great-granddaughter, Ava Marie Deitrich, Lafayette.

There will be no services. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Logansport.

Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Gundrum Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
