Norma Jean Gerlach, 66, Greenwood, died at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, in her residence.
Born Jan. 4, 1944, in Peru, she was the daughter of Orla C. Belcher and Virginia M. Wimer. She was married Sept. 15, 1963, in the Broadway Methodist Church, Logansport, to Robert âBobâ Gerlach.
Jean worked many years for Mr. Dâs Food Markets in the meat department.
Jean graduated from Logansport High School in 1962 and attended Bob Jones University. She loved Florida, YMCA Martinsville, gardening and antiquing. She was an avid Pacers and Colts fan. She was especially fond of her grandchildren and being active with them.
Surviving are her husband, Robert âBobâ âButchâ Gerlach, Greenwood; daughters, Karen Bleemel and husband, Bob, Martinsville, and Janine Smith (Brent Shopp), Greenwood; son, David Gerlach and wife, Becky, Franklin; six grandchildren, Matthew and Jeanna Gerlach, Franklin, Thomas, William and BethAnn Bleemel, Martinsville, and Jalynn Smith, Greenwood.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, with the Rev. Norman Ward officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Greenwood.
