Norman E. McFarland, 76, Logansport, died at 12:24 p.m. Sunday,
April 4, 2010, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born May 31, 1933, in Whitley County, Ky., he was the son of Charlie McFarland and Rosie Harp. He was married Jan. 5, 1980, in Logansport, to Wilma Jean âConnieâ Warpenburg Conrad, who preceded in death July 9, 2008.
Norman retired from Wolfe Construction.
He was a member of Indiana Farm Bureau and The International Union of Operating Engineers. He enjoyed welding, camping, gardening, fishing, and mushroom hunting.
Surviving are son, Robert âBobâ McFarland and wife, Claudia âLu,â
Galveston; stepsons, Dave Warpenburg, Logansport, and Charlie Warpenburg and wife, Sandy, Twelve Mile; brothers and sisters, Mart McFarland, Kokomo, Katie Butler and husband, Noel, Kokomo, Henry McFarland, Gas City, and Ruby Wilson and husband, Johnny Ray, Corbin, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Norman was preceded in death by one Son, Michael McFarland; one stepson, Michael Warpenburg; one step grandson, David Mathew Warpenburg; two brothers, Junior Ward and Clifford McFarland; and one sister, Susie McFarland.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Collins officiating.
Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery, Logansport.
