LOGANSPORT Opal I. Morgan, 97, Logansport, died at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 1, 1915, in Carroll County to John H. Maxwell and Mamie B. (Allen) Maxwell. She was married Feb. 11, 1939, in Logansport to Jesse H. Morgan, who preceded in death March 4, 2008.
Opal worked for H.W. Gossard, R.B.M, and was a former cook at Lewis Cass High School before becoming employed at T.M. Morris Co., where she retired in 1983 after 13 years.
She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and Washington Township 49ers extension homemakers club. She was a 1934 graduate of Washington Township School. Opal enjoyed watching her great grandsons play basketball, crocheting, crafts and gardening.
Survivors include daughters Ruth Ann (Chuck) Coppock, Camden, and Carolyn Waddups, Logansport; half-brother Gene (Catherine) Knight, Logansport; three grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Teal Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Gundrum Funeral Home.
