To my beloved dog the day has finally arrived that we have to part and go our separate ways and say goodbye. You have been my best friend right from the start, but all good things come to an end. I thank God for giving you to me as a cherished best friend. Please forgive me as I set you free, I did a selfless act out of love from me. Please God, give me the strength to go on without you. I know I’ll see you again in the light and when that comes, I’m going to run to you with all my might, until then give Lacy, Baby, Khloe and Lucky a big kiss from me. Now go and run to the Rainbow Bridge, be reborn and fly with your new wings. One more thing before I go, I’ll never forget the day daddy brought you home, a tiny black Shih Tzu I called OREO to love and cherish for evermore.  Days and years flew by, and you became weak, it was my time to become your eyes and ears because you couldn’t speak. You became so frail, blind and had dementia, which tore me upside down. I had to be strong and take care of you until it was time. Well today is the day God called you home, (dementia won) over your body, so I set you free, back to the man up above, which I thank him for giving me 17 years to love you. This isn’t goodbye you see, I’ll see you again, until then wait for me. I love you so much, go fly high my beloved pet, for after all God only takes the best.
