Otis F. Baker, 102 of Logansport, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at McKinney Place in Logansport.
Born on December 19, 1913 in Decatur, Indiana, he was the son of the late Franklin Otis and Mary Elizabeth Opal (Butcher) Baker. On March 25, 1944 in Grass Creek, Indiana Otis married Ethel S. Pfeiffer who preceded in death on February 3, 2004.
Otis retired in 1976 after 33 years as a teacher and Principal in the Cass County School Systems. He graduated in 1932 from Decatur High School before graduating in 1939 from Indiana Central College of Indianapolis. Otis went on to receive his Masters Degree from Butler University. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by one son, Byron L. Baker and two brothers.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Damon Soper officiating. Burial with full Military Graveside Rites will be held in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 until the time of service on Tuesday.
