Patricia G. Appleton, 50, of Lafayette, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on January 23, 1965 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Landon Turner and Lilly (McDonald) Halcomb. On April 8, 1983 in Clymers, Indiana she married Ronald D. Appleton who survives.

Patricia previously worked for the Area 5 Daycare, and for Kaufman Industries for several years. She was a 1983 graduate of Carroll High School. Patricia cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and family.

Surviving along with her husband Ron, is a son, Chadwick (Amber) Appleton, Kokomo; two daughters, Stephanie (Shawn) Trittipo, West Lafayette; Anne (Clinton) Henry, Brookston; nine grandchildren, Trenton, Tylene, Wyatt, Slade, Mackenzie, Jasmine, Bailey, Gabriel, and Syler; her mother, Lilly (Eugene) Halcomb, Flora; three brothers, Michael (Mindee) Turner, Georgetown; James (Andrea) Turner, Avon; Lee (Rebekah) Turner, Bringhurst; three sisters, Vontella (Brian) Schnieb, Camden; Kiesta (Dennis) Crume, Logansport; Jean (Sam) Heise, Rockfield; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Smith officiating.  Burial will be in the Brown Church Cemetery, Rockfield.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, and 8:00 - 10:00 AM Thursday, also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the IU Health Indianapolis Transplantation Unit.
