Services for Paul T. Handy, 69, Logansport, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in First Church of the Nazarene.
He died at 7:19 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, in his residence.
Born Sept. 10, 1939, in Winamac, he was the son of Herbert and Mary Haddix Handy. He was married Aug. 19, 1961, in Wapakoneta, Ohio, to Nancy J. Fisher, who survives.
Paul was retired from Tinnerman. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene and the Army National Guard. Paul enjoyed woodworking and any type of hands-on activity. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Also surviving are daughter, Crystal Hippensteel, Huntington; sons, Craig Handy, Puerto Rico, and Brian Handy and wife, Sherry, Peru; grandsons, Jacob Thomas Handy and wife, Heather, South Carolina, Jacob Nathaniel Handy, Peru, and Logan Dayne Hippensteel, Huntington; granddaughters, Annie Nicole Handy, Tennessee, and Alexandra Lynn Hippensteel, Huntington; brothers, James Eugene Handy and wife, Esther, Kokomo, and James Edward Handy and wife, Marie, Logansport; sister, Lucille Ponce and husband, Bernard, Hammond; and two great-grandsons, Anthony and Jonah Handy, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by one son, Chris Allen Handy; two brothers, George Handy and Ben Handy; and one sister, Elizabeth Friskey.
Dr. Horace Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Gundrum Funeral Home and one hour before services Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Wesleyan University Scholarship Fund in memory of Lowell and Blanche Fisher.
