Services for Pauline âPollyâ Vaughan, 89, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, in The First Assembly of God Church.
She died at 3:17 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 7, 1919, in Wilmot, Ark., she was the daughter of George Bell and Johnnie Chavis. She was married May 3, 1951, in Parkdale, Ark., to Spence Edward Vaughan, who survives.
A homemaker, she was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Pauline loved spiritual music, gardening and was an avid reader. She especially loved Friday family night when she expected her large family to visit, and if any family members were not in attendance, she expected a call from them. She found her grandchildren to be the light of her life and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed sitting in her front porch swing and watching the traffic go by.
Also surviving are daughters, Elizabeth Higgins and husband, David, Logansport, Georgie Mock and husband, Steve, Logansport, and Linda Stephens and husband, Larry, Logansport; sons, Keith Dean, Peru, and Paul Vaughan, Logansport; son-in-law, Mike Rans, Logansport; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Glenda Sue Rans; one son, George Wesley Dean; and three brothers, Charlie Bell, Barney Bell, Hershey Bell, preceded in death.
Pastor Andy Weil will officiate. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Tuesday in the church.
