Philip Mitchell

Philip M. Mitchell, 61, of Logansport, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born October 1, 1951 in Logansport, IN, he was the son of the late Alvin Max and Mary C. (Marburger) Mitchell. On November 23, 2008 in Logansport, he married Jackie L. Reidelbach who survives.

Philip retired from ELCO.

He was a member of the Burlington Masonic Lodge #111, Logansport Shrine Club, Murat Temple Valley of Indianapolis, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and the Walton American Legion Post #418. Philip enjoyed watching westerns, the Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, and NASCAR. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving along with his wife is one son, Mark C. (Rayme) Mitchell, Chicago, IL; daughter, Krysti (Paul) Scislowski, Elgin, IL; step son, John Sabatini, Logansport; step daughters, Nicole Sabatini and Fiancé Jim Stotler, Logansport; and Amy Sabatini and Fiancé Randy Cothran, Las Vegas; four granddaughters, Kasia, Mya, and Malia Mitchell, and Erin Scislowski; two grandsons, Jacob Stotler and Lake Sabatini; sister, Patty (Steve) Wilkinson, Greenfield, IN; one niece and one nephew.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Burlington Cemetery in Burlington, Indiana.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 also in the funeral home.
A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday evening, followed by a Shrine walkthrough.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
