Phyllis J. Gibson, 83, Logansport, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 15, 1929, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Harold and Elizabeth A. Geyer.
She was married March 9, 1956, in Logansport, to Dale âRedâ M. Gibson, who preceded her in death Feb. 21, 1980.
She retired from Logansport Municipal Utilities after 30 years.
She was a member of The Baptist Temple Church. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her yard. She loved traveling to California to visit her two sons. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed spending time friends.
Survivors include daughters, Cheryl Maroney and companion, Tom Maroney, and Kelly Cadwallader and husband, Mike, all of Lucerne; son, Scott Gibson and wife, Amy, Selina, Calif.; sister, Doris McHenry, Roselle, Ill.; four grandchildren, Blake and Lindsay Cadwallader, Lucerne, Josh Maroney and wife, Michelle, Rochester, and Stephanie Elliott and husband, Willie, Logansport; and three great-grandchildren, Adam Maroney, Evan Maroney and Emma Elliott.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mike Patterson, and two brothers, Harold and Bill Geyer.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home, with Pastor Howard Wade officiating. Burial will be private at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Visitation will be from noon until time of services Wednesday.
