R. Rance

Services for R. Chantel Rance, 36, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 1:17 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born July 10, 1972, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Bill Rue and Linda Sergent. She was married May 4, 1990, in Ceder Key, Fla., to Bob Rance, who survives.

A 1990 graduate of Lake Weir High School, in Florida, she worked at the State Hospital in the Isaac Ray Unit.

Chantel loved to camp and be out in the water. She was also very involved in all of her children’s sports and all their other school activities.

Also surviving are her daughters, Caycie Rance and Amanda Rance, both of Logansport; sons, Joshua Rance and Johnathan Rance, both of Logansport; sisters, Tara and Kevin Ross, Harlan, Ky., Doris and ODell Burkhart, Ocala, Fla., Kendra and Gene Newsome, Harlan, Ky., Ginger and Jason Hackett, Peru, and Kathy Rue and Melissa Blase, OFallon, Ill.; brother, Kenneth and Judy Casteel, Harlan, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

Elwood Neu will officiate. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville.

Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
