Ray A. Myers, 87, Logansport, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, in the Indiana Veterans Home, West Lafayette.
Born Feb. 13, 1923, in Logansport, he was the son of Warren Myers and Malinda Mae Winegardner. His first marriage was on May 21, 1944, in Warrensburg, Mo., to Margery Jean Wilson, who preceded in death Aug. 31, 1989. His second marriage was on June 22, 1991, in Lockport, to Grace E. Hildebran (Ralstin), who preceded in death May 8, 1994.
Ray retired from Rockwell International.
He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Ray was a veteran of the Army Air Force during World War II.
Surviving are sons, Greg Myers and wife, Janice, Logansport, and Steve Myers, Fort Myers, Fla.; daughter, Linda Newport, Chicago; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Myers; four brothers; and two sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Gundrum Funeral Home, where Pastor Tim Berlin will officiate.
Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery with full military graveside rites.
