Renee Abbott

Inez "Renee" Abbott, 52 of Logansport passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 in her residence.

Born on February 24, 1962 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Richard Alexander and Patricia (Williams) Snay. On June 5, 1987 in Logansport, she married Greg N. Abbott Jr. who survives.

Renee worked for Kaufman Engineering. She enjoyed collecting Wizard of Oz memorabilia, watching “I Love Lucy”, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving along with her husband is a son, Greg N. Abbott III; daughter, Lorinell Sherman, both of Logansport; seven grandchildren and one on the way; two sisters, Billie (Roy) Weese, Indianapolis; Robin (Curtis) Michael, Bucyrus, OH; two brothers, Truman "Bud" (Tanya) Sandlin Jr., Bucyrus, OH; Richard L. Snay, Indianapolis; father in law, Greg N. Abbott Sr.; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Hudson officiating.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 AM until the service on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association.

A memorial ride is planned for Saturday June 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM, at the Avenue, 547 Erie Avenue, Logansport. A hog roast and auction will follow at 2:00 PM also at the Avenue. For more information please contact the Avenue at 574-722-2821.
