Rex Noel

Rex P. Noel, 72 of Walton, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 in his residence.

Born on March 1, 1944 in Logansport, Indiana he was the son of the late Ray and Fay (Moss) Noel. On March 12, 1967 in Twelve Mile, Indiana he married Connie J. Dillman who preceded in death on June 28, 2012. Rex served on the Walton Volunteer Fire Dept. for 42 years and worked for the DeHaven’s Soil Service for several years.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah (Mike) Enser, Wabash; Kim (Mark) Mettler, Twelve Mile; son, David (Cami) Noel, Walton; granddaughters, Cayla Enser; Elizabeth Mettler; Sheere Enser; Abigail Mettler; grandson, Jacob Mettler; great grandson; Owen Emmanuel Mettler; great granddaughter expected, Charlotte Hotsinpiller; brother, Richard Franklin Noel, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; several foster children over the years.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Kaleb Enser.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 5, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor David Noel Officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico, IN.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday, December 4, also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Rex’s name to the Walton Volunteer Fire Department.
