Rex W. Smith, 61, Twelve Mile, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 10:21 am in Woodlawn Hospital of Rochester.
Born Aug. 27, 1952 in Pratt, Kansas. He was the son of the late Tommy and Margie (Dales) Smith Schilousky and Robert Schilousky Sr.
On July 30, 1982 in Knoxville, TN he married Fayetta "Fay" J. (Malott) who survives.
Rex was a former truck driver, heavy equipment operator, farmer and jack of all trades.
Other survivors, besides his wife, include one son, Micky Smith, Logansport; five sisters, Sandy (Jim) Morby, KS; Joyce (Mike) Prothman, NE; Nancy (Tom) Boman, KS; Gloria (Loren) Reinke, NE; Ruth (Jim) Crosby, NE; two brothers, Max Smith, KS; Roy (Deb) Schilousky, NE; Ralph Schilousky, WY; three grandchildren, Micheal Smith, Rex Smith and Cassandra Smith; one great grandchild, Camden Smith; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Terry Schilousky and Robert Schilosky Jr., preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends at the Gundrum Funeral Home from 4 until 6 pm on Friday, November 8, 2013. There will be no services.
Contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gundrum Funeral Home and Cass County Crematory.
