Richard Wayne “Pete” Clements, 86, of Logansport passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 in his residence.

Born March 24, 1928 in Grass Creek, Indiana, he was the son of the late Edwin and Beryle (Hollaway) Clements. On July 15, 1988 in Springfield, Tennessee, he married Linda Lou Williams who survives.

Pete retired from Wilson Foods. He was also a former truck driver delivering camper trailers all over America. He attended Hillcrest Baptist Church. Pete was an avid race car fan, enjoyed gardening, loved watching IU basketball and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving along with his wife are two daughters, Becky James and companion Jon Wicker, Logansport; Mary Jane (Jeff) Phillips, Kokomo; three sons, David Wayne (Pam) Clements; Mark Allen Clements and companion Jennifer Rogers; and Richard Lambert Clements, all of Logansport; two step daughters, Kimberly Jean Binney and companion Jamie Brewer; Gail Lynn Willis, both of Logansport; step son, Robert Lee Williams, Kokomo, IN; brother, Edwin Clements Jr., Townesville, Austrailia; eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

One brother, Harold Clements and one sister, Dorothy Etherington, preceded in death.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Weil officiating.

A private burial will be held at the Metea Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM also in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Tony Stewart Legal Fund or the Leukemia Research Foundation.
