Services for Richard K. âKenâ Davis, 56, Knox, formerly of Galveston, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died at 5:05 p.m. CST, Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, in his residence.
Born June 3, 1952, in Logansport, he was the son of Joseph Davis and Florence Sisler. He was married Aug. 3, 1991, in Logansport, to Wanda S. Turner, who survives.
Ken was a forklift driver for Fairmont Homes, Inc. of Nappanee. He was also the former town marshall of Galveston and a member of the Church of The Heartland.
Ken enjoyed camping, fishing, scouting and spending time with his grandsons. Ken retired after 27 years and was very proud of time he spent serving as a sergeant in Bravo Company 2-151 of the Indiana National Guard.
Also surviving are daughters Sabrina Davis, Indianapolis, and Christina Foster and husband, Bobby, Kokomo; sons, Chad McCarter and wife, Deanna, Kokomo, and Kenn Davis, Indianapolis; brothers, Dennis Davis and wife, Helen, Lafayette, and Joe Davis, Logansport; sisters, Donna Smith and husband, Larry, Logansport, and Dorothy Spangler and husband, Ken, Bunker Hill; four grandchildren, Austin Foster, Tyler Foster, Cody Foster and Emma Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
Pastor Jim Howard will officiate. Burial, with full military graveside rites will be held in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Kokomo.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
