Richard "Dick" K. DeWitt, 70, of Logansport passed away Tuesday, January, 29, 2013 at 12:13am in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born August 24, 1942 in Rochester, Indiana to the late Charles Clifford and Marjorie G. Shambarger DeWitt. On May 28, 1966 in Logansport, Dick married Carol Ristedt who survives.
He was the owner and operator of West Side Transmission Repair.
Dick was a 1961 graduate of Logansport High School. He is a member of the NHRA, and enjoyed working on cars.
Surviving along with his wife is, one daughter, Cassie Grandstaff and Fiance Tim Hodgini, Logansport; one son, Sean DeWitt, Royal Center; five grandchildren, Crystle Vaughan, Kokomo; Megan Vaughan, Tyler Grandstafff, and Holland DeWitt, all of Logansport, Brooklyn DeWitt, Cayuga, IN; one sister, Barbara (Jim) Raisor, Logansport.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, January 31, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Ed Johnson Officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
