Richard Gellinger

Richard "Dick" L. Gellinger, 62, of Logansport, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, Friday, March 11, 2016 at 8:55 pm in St. Elizabeth East of Lafayette.

Born Dec. 26, 1953 in Logansport to the late Donald and Mary Edith "Grigsby" Gellinger. On June 15, 1974 in Logansport he married Scherry L. Simms who survives.

Richard retired from Carter Concrete Block in 2005, working as plant foreman. He enjoyed wood working, mushroom hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

Other survivors, include one daughter, Jennell DeHaven, Logansport; four sons, James Michael Richard (Telinda) Gellinger, West Lafayette; Robert Allen ( Renee) Gellinger, Kevin Patrick Gellinger, Reilly Mitchell Gellinger, all of Logansport; one brother, Rex Allen (Tami) Gellinger, Logansport, one sister, Donna Gellinger,  Logansport; and eleven grandchildren, Alexander Emmerd, Breeanna Gellinger, Gabrielle Gellinger, Hunter George Allen DeHaven, Arianna Gellinger, Emily Gellinger, Tarrah Gellinger, Connor Gellinger, Madison DeHaven, Ethan Gellinger and Alyssa Gellinger; several nephews.

One brother, Michael Wayne Gellinger preceded in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 15 2016 at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of services on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at Gundrum Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Association, Peak Community Services or Cause for Paws.
