Services for Richard E. Korreckt, 64, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died at 5:35 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, in The Heart Center of Indiana, Indianapolis.
Born Jan. 12, 1944 in Pulaski County, he was the son of George and Ruby Clark Korreckt. He was married May 20, 1995, in Gatlinburg, Tenn., to Sharon K. Blount.
Richard retired in 2006 from Delco Electronics after 28 years of service. He had also worked nine years on the Pennsylvania Railroad.
He was a member of the Lighthouse of Hope Church. Richard was a member and also a part time employee of the YMCA. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing. Richard was a Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon K. Korreckt, Logansport; one son, Gregory E. Korreckt, Logansport; two step-daughters, Nancy Weaver and husband, Bill, Idaville, and Sherri Nordyke and husband, Mike, Lafayette; two step-sons, Lonnie Durbin, Lake Cicott, and David Ott, Logansport; two brothers, Don Korreckt and wife, Nancy, Fort Wayne, and Jim Hardy and wife, June, Logansport; three sisters, Carolyn Black, Elizabeth Waddups, and Ruby Hart, all of Logansport; 10 step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
Step great-granddaughter, Heather Weaver, preceded in death.
Pastor Josh Bault will officiate. Burial will take place in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport, with Full Military Graveside Rites.
Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
