Robert L. Murray, 61, of Logansport passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on December 25, 1953, he was the son of Oscar "Curley" F. and Rosemary (Duncan) Murray.  On December 15, 1990 in Deer Creek, Indiana he married Georgie D. Hart who survives.

Robert was an attorney for the law firm Hanna, Small, Sabatini, Becker, Murray and Cox.  He graduated from Pike High School in 1972, and he then graduated from DePauw with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science before attending law school at Indiana University.

Bob was an avid golfer.  He loved playing golf with his son, Jacob, and loved attending Jacob’s high school and college golf tournaments.  He was also a fan of Formula 1 racing.  Throughout his life, Bob was a voracious reader and book collector, especially of the works of William Blake, Charles Dickens, and William Butler Yeats.  He was an art aficionado who collected numerous works, but he particularly enjoyed the Pre-Raphaelites.  Bob was passionate about music and stereo equipment.  From an early age, Bob loved celebrating Christmas, and he always created elaborate Christmas celebrations for family and friends.

Surviving along with his wife Georgie is a daughter, Elizabeth Murray, Logansport; son, Jacob (Megan) Murray, Indianapolis; two step sons, Eric (Ashley) Binney, Logansport; Jarrett Binney, New Jersey; mother, Rosemary Murray, Logansport; Grandson, Ethan Binney, Logansport; granddaughter, Lachlan Binney, New Jersey; and the mother of Elizabeth and Jacob, Linda Murray of Logansport.

He was preceded in death by his father Oscar "Curley" Murray.

A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service on Friday.

Per Bob's request his ashes will be taken to Ireland to spread.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Community Foundation in his name.
