Robert Shipp

Services for Robert L. “Bob” Shipp, 74, Logansport, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

He died at 10:55 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008, in St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana, Indianapolis.

Born Jan. 24, 1934, in Fulton County, he was the son of Edward and Clara Shoemaker Shipp. He was married July 11, 1955, in Logansport, to Patricia L. Odom, who survives.

Bob retired in 2004 as vice president and chief engineer for T.M. Morris Manufacturing Inc.

A 1952 graduate of Fulton High School, Bob was a member of River of Life Christian Church and American Society of Engineers. Bob loved his family very much and always said being around his family was when he was the happiest.

Also surviving are daughters, Joni Lynn Richey and husband, Kurt, Brownstown, Mich., and Beth Ann Ortman and husband, Don, Logansport; four grandchildren, Allison Richey, Angela Brennan, Amanda Ortman and Robert Ortman; and four great-grandchildren, Abagail, James, Katharyn and Emma Brennan.

Pastors W. Frank Hibbard and Kurt Richey will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery, Logansport.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services Sunday at the funeral home.
