Robert G. Thompson, 91, of Logansport, passed away on Sunday October 30, 2016 in Chase Center, Logansport.

Born on September 26 1925 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Edgar A and May (Guthrie) Thompson.

On May 7, 1946 in Logansport Bob married Delores J. Rance who preceded in death May 4, 2002. On March 22, 2003 in Logansport he married Sally Hizer who survives.

Bob retired as a business owner of Thompson Enterprises. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and a World War 2 Army Veteran.

Surviving along with his wife is one daughter, Sharon (Steve) Gill, Peru, IN; two sons, Robert E. (Patty) Thompson, Warren Robin, Georgia; Dan L. Thompson, N. Fort Myers, FL; six step daughters, Kim (Tony) Fowler, Clymers, IN; Penny (Jeff) Smith, Logansport, IN; Lisa (Todd) Ervin, Logansport, IN; Shawny (Scott) Bortell, Knox, IN; Theresa (James) Hudson, Peru, IN; Tracey (David) Berry, Logansport, IN; one step son, Wes (Donna) Hizer, Denver, IN; twin sister, Julia Strubee, Peru, IN; twenty four grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren preceded Bob in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30am on Friday November 4, 2016 in Gundrum Funeral Home with pastor Jeff Allen, Pastor Sharol Eaker and Dr. Horace Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport, IN with full military honors.

Visitation hours will be from 3:00pm until 7:00pm Thursday November 3, 2016 in Gundrum Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
