Ron Gundrum

Ron F. Gundrum, 85 of Fulton, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in his residence.

Born on December 17, 1933 in Royal Center, Indiana, he is the son to the late Otto F. and Monica (Gerlach) Gundrum.  On January 15, 1954 he married Lois M. Newton who preceded in death on August 22, 2013.

Ron worked as a realtor for Pacesetters in Rochester and had previously owned and operated Gundrum Realty along with several other businesses in the Fulton Community. He has also worked as a branch manager for the First National Bank of Fulton and on the Pennsylvania Railroad.

He was a 1951 graduate of Fulton High School and a member of the Fulton Baptist Temple where he served on the Church advisory board, he was also a member of the Fulton Lions Club. Ron was a board member for the Caston School Board when it consolidated both north and south Caston into one school. He was also a former Woodlawn Hospital Board Member when they built what is the current Woodlawn Hospital. Ron was a proud past President of the Fulton County Board of Realtors and served as the Liberty Township Trustee for 8 years.

Ron was a Caston basketball fanatic. He received a dedicated jacket for only missing one home game since 1964. Ron was an avid supporter of Indiana University Basketball.

Surviving is a daughter, Linda (Barry) Baldwin of Fulton, IN; son, Randy (Kay) Gundrum of Rochester, IN; grandson, Bryce Baldwin of Chicago, IL; brother, Tom D. (Bev) Gundrum of Logansport, IN; two grandsons, Josh (Kristi) Enyart of California, Jeremy Enyart of Plymouth, IN; great grandsons, Isaiah & Seth Enyart of California.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Alfred Gundrum and Bernard Gundrum.

Funeral services for Ron will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2019 in the Fulton Baptist Temple with Rev. Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Fulton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, June 14, 2019 also in the Fulton Baptist Temple. There will be an additional hour of visitation one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the Fulton Baptist Temple or Fulton Cemetery Association.
